1. Out Of Bounds
(Rule 18)
a) Beyond any of the fences or walls forming the course boundaries. NOTE: The walls adjoining Lizard Lane are deemed to be boundary walls.
b) Over the wall or the extended line of white posts which form the right-hand boundary of the 12th hole.
c) Beyond the line of white posts to the left side of the 8th hole
d) Beyond the line of white posts to the left side of the 17th hole.
e) Beyond the line of white posts to both sides of the 18th hole.
2. Immovable Obstruction Close To Putting
Green (Rule 16.1a), in addition to the type of interference described in Rule 16.1a,
when a ball lies in the General Area, interference also exists if an immovable obstruction is:-
- on the player’s line of play,
- is within two club-lengths of the putting green,
- and is within two club-lengths of the ball.
The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b.
(Exception-There is no relief under this Local Rule if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable).
3. Integral Parts of Course (Rule 16)
All buildings and walls (including any ladders attached to the walls) within the boundaries of the course are declared to be integral parts of the course. The ball must be played as it lies or declared unplayable under Rule 19.2.
A ball coming to rest on the path behind hole 15 and between the red and white posts should be dropped in the drop zone no nearer the hole under rule 2I or played as it lies. Outside the red and white posts relief should be taken under Rule 16.1.
4. Penalty Area’s Rule 17.
Are Indicated or defined by Yellow or Red posts or lines. When playing the 12th or 17th holes, the pond in front of the green is a yellow penalty area and Rule 17.1d applies.
When playing the 13th hole, the pond in front of the 12th green is also a yellow penalty area and Rule 17.1d applies.
5. Abnormal Course Condition 16.1a.
a) Any outcrop of limestone rock visible in closely mown areas (fairway and semi-rough only).
b) All fissures through the green on holes 8, 9 and 10 only.
c) All areas marked with white lines or posts, and deep tractor ruts not mere indentations through the green.
d) All gravel or astroturf paths.
Relief without penalty is available under Rule 16.1a.
e) When playing the 12th hole the area in front of the Hemel, identified by white lines, is GUR. Players should pick up from GUR and play from the designated Drop Zone.
6. Abnormal Course Condition (No Play Zone) (Rule 16.1f and 17.1e).
a) If newly planted staked trees or bushes that are cordoned off with blue posts on the course, interfere with the stance or area of swing, the ball MUST be lifted and dropped in accordance with Rule 16.1f
b) The area on the 12th hole between the pond and the sleepers, which is within the yellow penalty area, is deemed a NO PLAY ZONE. It is treated as a penalty area and relief must be taken from interference by the no play zone under Rule 17.1e.
7. Practice Rule 5.2b
Practice is not permitted on the day of stroke play competitions on the area between the 11th and 12th holes.
Practice is permitted on the day of stroke play competitions to the right of the 4th and 13th holes, as well as the practice putting green.
Penalty for Breach of Local Rule.
Stroke Play – General Penalty (Two Strokes)
Match Play – Loss of Hole.

The "preferred lies" rule applies in this area.
WHITE LINES - Trolleys
To protect the course when using a trolley, please always walk on paths and do not walk over areas marked for repair. Please also do not take trolleys past the white lines at the front of the greens.

WRONG PUTTING GREEN
Any putting green (including winter greens) on which a ball is lying other than the putting green in use for the hole being played is a wrong putting green. The ball MUST be lifted off the green and dropped, without penalty, within one club length from the edge of the green nearest to where the ball originally lay, but not nearer the hole.
EMBEDDED BALL
On a closely mown area, through the green, a ball which is embedded in it's own pitch mark in the ground, other than sand, may be lifted, without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it originally lay, but not nearer the hole.
THROUGH THE GREEN
"Through the green" is the whole area of the course except the teeing ground and putting green of the hole being played and all hazards.
AERATION HOLES
On the putting green, if a ball lies in an aeration hole, a player may place the ball on a spot not nearer the hole, which avoids the situation.
TEE BOXES
A ball landing on a tee box MUST be lifted and dropped from the tee without penalty.

Match play - Loss of hole
Stroke Play - Two strokes
